Introduction

In 1920, shortly before his death, Nicholas Alexandrovich Velyaminov wrote a set of memoirs concerning his tenure as a physician at the Imperial Court under Alexander III.  These memoirs covered the last years of the Emperor’s reign as well as his final illness and death.
